Does he still like me? I need some answers cause I'm confused?

So there is this guy who I like and he liked me for the past couple of years. He's Mormon so we couldn't really do anything about it but. So this last school year i had like no classes with him and we hardly talked at all. Last year we were super close and talked and gave eachother a hard time and that kinda stuff. He used to give me hugs but stopped cause we didn't really pass eachother In the halls. He smiles and waves at me sometimes So do u think its just because we lost contact ? Do u think he's moved on ? or lost interest? He said he would date me as soon as he turned 16 is it gonna happen?!?!
