Is it possible for an authentic NBA jersey to be hemmed? If so, is there a length limit?

I really wanna buy an authentic NBA jersey, but the length is just way too long. I was thinking of getting a size 44 authentic since I'm 5'11'' and about 170 pounds. If I could take it to a tailor and have it hemmed, that would be awesome because then I could have a nice authentic jersey, but not have it looking like a moo moo on me. Also, is there a limit in terms of length as to how much you can actually have something hemmed? A large swingman jersey was quite long on me and supposedly a size 44 authentic is several inches longer then the large swingman, according to the size chart on the NBA site.
