I would take a long hard look at this relationship with Gemma. You looked at her and fell madly in love? Boy, love takes time. It's lust that is instant. And if you continually feed that lust, it makes you think that you really need so-and-so and that you actually love so-and-so. At this age, and I'm 16 so I am not a hypocrite, you want to have someone to love..and for someone to love you back. But, don't get blinded by conversations over IM. You need real conversations, if you want a real, true love. If you want to pursue this girl, and truly love her, then talk to her. Don't be shy. That get's in your way of true love. Grow to be her friend. And if that friendship, without the use of electronics, wants to blossom into true love, then let it. If she feels the same then other boys will not matter to her. And don't date someone for the sake of having a girlfriend. Date someone to see if you really belong, date someone to see if love will work. Usually after a friendship has bonded, date. And do not flirt. Flirt is part of the perversion of the false 'love' the media has so defined for us. Love is not flirting, love is not lust, love is not false communication, love is not jealousy, love is not fake, and love is not in the mind. Love is in the heart, and the heart must learn some lessons before it can express and except true love.
